Newcastle United attacker Bruno Guimaraes says he's throwing everything into this season.

The Brazil midfielder again was key in Saturday's win against West Ham.

He told ChronicleLive: "It's taken a lot of energy from me. I am very tired after international football and 90 plus minutes. I think I have played around 52 games for club and country this season. There's nine games to go and then after that the Copa America.

"This season I have given everything I have. In the end I hope it will be worth it for me but I am going to give everything, to be honest I am a little bit tired! I tried to relax over Easter, recover and be ready for the next game."

Bruno also said: "It's Tottenham at home so it's two or three more games, it's getting close! I remember when I got on to nine yellow cards was 12 or so games ago or something! I think I have done well to get it this close and to avoid that yellow card.

"I have had to change the way I think a little to avoid it, sometimes I have not been so aggressive without the ball. Sometimes I have to avoid a moment when recovering the ball but I am trying to be more attentive to the game and when I can realistically recover the ball or not. I have had to change for sure."
