Watch: Travis Hunter surprises mom on birthday with 5-bedroom dream home, her wholesome reaction goes viral
James Snook-USA TODAY Sports

Almost every son loves their mother; Travis Hunter is no different. As a gesture of this love, the Colorado Buffaloes two-way star recently gifted a big mansion to his mom.

Hunter shared a video on his YouTube channel on Friday. In it, he unveiled a surprise gift for his mother for St. Patrick’s Day. The 20-year-old corner has bought a five-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom house in Savannah, Georgia.

One of the highest-earning college football players, through his $2.4 million NIL deal, Hunter’s surprise present was a shock for his mother, who started screaming after realizing what his boy had done for her. On top of that, he wrote a heartfelt letter to her, which made the moment even more memorable.

As she read the letter, Hunter disclosed that his mom is moving close to his girlfriend Leanna Lenee‘s parents’ house.

Yeah, we are moving her [Travis Hunter's mother] to Savannah, next to Leanna's parents. So we don’t have to make two trips every time we go to visit. It’s much easier for us, and I can also fish a lot. Hunter said

Carl Reed Jr. praises Travis Hunter

Veteran college football analyst Carl Reed Jr. recently praised Travis Hunter for being a fine talent. He compared the young speedster to some of his peers, like Carsen Beck and Shedeur Sanders.

Reed claimed that Hunter can proudly say he is in an elite company and has a bright future ahead of him.

Travis Hunter, in my opinion, is the best overall player in college football. If you get a healthy Travis Hunter for the full season, you’re going to see one of the most spectacular performances that you’ve seen. Reed said via 247sports

Hunter’s record last season speaks for itself. He caught 59 passes for 721 yards and scored five touchdowns. Furthermore, as a corner for the Buffs, Hunter notched 30 tackles, 3 interceptions, and 5 breakups on defense.

While he finalizes all the paperwork and moves the furniture, Hunter has also been busy regaining full fitness. The Buffaloes would require a charged Travis Hunter in 2024 because they will be playing in the Big 12. Compared to last season, the opportunities will be tougher with better squads and records.

Hunter and Shedeur Sanders , who also bought a new home for his father, are the two key pieces that can make or break the season for the Buffs. While Shedeur is projected to be the first quarterback to be taken in the 2025 NFL Draft, Hunter bagged the prestigious Paul Hornung Award.
